Spirit of cooperation in full display at fun run

The fun run, organised by the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council (BDNOC) and supported by the Youth and Sports (JBS) Department at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS), showcased the strong collaboration of the organising committee with MCYS where “they worked together seamlessly to ensure the smooth running of the event and delivery of great hospitality is provided to everyone”.

This was said by BDNOC Vice President Haji Mohd Zamri bin Dato Paduka Haji Hamdani in his capacity as the Co-Chairman of the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 Fun Run Organising Committee at the event.

He also expressed gratitude to the Chinese National Olympic Committee and the Hangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee for giving the opportunity to feel the beats of the upcoming 19th Asian Games 2022 by organising the event.

The run which began at the Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ’Ali Saifuddien and ended at the Taman Mahkota Jubli Emas in the capital, gathered 1,300 participants.

The Sunday’s fun run was participated by people from all walks of life, including members of the Brunei Darussalam Paralympic Council, senior citizens and children.

The event’s objective was to instil awareness among the Asian community of the 19th Asian Games aside from encouraging participation in sports, cultural activities and inculcate solidarity among the community.

The 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 will take place at Hangzhou, Zhejiang province from September 23 to October 10.
