Six athletes leave for pre-SEA Games event in KL

A TOTAL of six athletes left for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia yesterday, led by Vice President of Brunei Darussalam Athletics Federation (BDAF) Major (Rtd) Md Talip bin Haji Md Tahir to participate in the 94th Malaysia Open/Pre-SEA Games event which will be held on July 17 and July 18 at Bukit Jalil Stadium, Kuala Lumpur.

Md Fakhri Ismail will take part in the 100m individual and 4x100m relay event along with his team mates, Md Noor Firdaus Ar-Rasyid bin Haji Md Idris; Md Faaizul bin Abdullah; Abdul Rahim Abdullah, Md Asy Syafie and Md Bohari. Also present with them as the team coach was Isedro Del Prado.

The championship is a preparation for the national team athletes in the 100m event and 4x100m relay event before they take action in the upcoming SEA Games from August 22 to August 26 which will also be held in Kuala Lumpur.

Other participating countries of the championship includes the whole state of Malaysia, Asean countries, Sri Lanka, Macau, Japan and China.
