The Brunei Darussalam Cue Sports Association (BCSA) is inviting all their registered members to attend their Biennial General Meeting (BGM) tomorrow.
All BCSA members are welcome to vote as the BGM is held to select new executive BCSA committee comprising of president, vice president, honorary secretary general, honorary treasurer and committee members.
The meeting will commence at 8pm at the Lecture Hall of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas.
The vote is open to registered members holding yellow, red or green identity cards.
Nomination for the executive BCSA committee is restricted to those holding yellow or red identity cards.
Those interested to be nominated as executive committee office bearers can send their details and experiences in the sport to firstname.lastname@example.org, email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org, email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
BCSA members who are interested in listening to the biennial progress reports by the secretary general and honorary treasurer are also welcome to the meeting.
This will be BCSA's fourth general election since its formation in 2006.
Musa Hj Bagol is the current president while Mohd Kamarul Ariffin Hj Arpan and Hj Abd Lani Hj Mahmud serve as the association's vice-president and secretary general respectively.
The last election, which took place on March 13, 2011, was put on hold since Feb 27 of that year after originally slated for 2010.
Only 23 of the needed 140 members were present during the Feb 27 election, resulting in it being postponed to March 13.
Though the turnout during the second date was still not enough - the association was looking for one-third of its members to be present - the election was contested anyway.
