Education personnel get schooled in rugby

Seventeen secondary school teachers and officials from the Curriculum Development Department's Sports and Games Unit completed a three-day rugby management workshop yesterday.

Held at the Sports School in Kg Pulaie, the course was aimed at improving the participants' knowlegde in the field of rugby management and planning as well as development of the sport in schools.

According to a press release issued by the department, the course, which started on Monday, was facilitated by Mark Pyrgos from Big Blue Link Education & Sports Consultancy Singapore.

The Curriculum Development Department's Sports and Games Unit held the course with the cooperation of the Asian Rugby Football Union and the Brunei Rugby Football Union

Yesterday's closing ceremony started off with a speech from Abdul Razak Ali, a teacher from Katok Sixth Form Centre who represented the 17 attendants.

The Curriculum Development Department's acting director Pg Suhaimi Pg Hj Bakar presented the certificates to the participants.
