Ahmad Rifa'ie Hj Johor was the lone Bruneian left to compete in stage three of the Tour de East Java in Indonesia yesterday.

However, the result for 79-kilometre race for the final stage from Sidoarjo to Padusan could not be obtained as of press time.

He clocked a time of 2 hour and 20 minutes in the second stage to be the only Bruneian to complete the 84.5-km stage which went from Sidoarjo to Pendopo on Thursday.

The duo of I'maadi Abd Aziz and Reduan Yusop failed to keep up to the pace which saw their campaign come to an end at the three-day event.

Muhammad Rafiuddin Zikara and Mohammad Nazri Mastan dropped out earlier after failing to complete stage one.

Jose Vicente Toribo Alcolea was the overall champion after winning the general classification with a total time of 9:09:36.

The Spanish rider for team UKYO (Japan) was also 'King of the Mountain' after collecting 22 points.

Hari Fitrianto was his closest competitor in the general classification after coming in with a time of 9:11:42 while David Clark took third place with his time of 9:11:47.
