China still rule at Hanoi Games

CHINA remain on top of the medal tally board at the 3rd Indoor Asian Games in Hanoi, Vietnam, after winning eight gold, four silver and one bronze medals yesterday.

They lead the standings of the 42-nation tournament with 38 gold, 19 silver and 16 bronze medals after a week into the 10-day competition.

Hosts Vietnam are still in second after winning four gold, one silver and three bronze medals yesterday to take their tally to 28 gold, 21 silver and 20 bronze medals.

Kazakhstan cemented their position at third after collecting two gold, two silver and two bronze medals yesterday to bring their total to 16 gold, 13 silver and 18 bronze medals.

Winning one silver and four bronze, Brunei's medals have all come from their pencak silat exponents.

Pencak silat will resume today after taking a break yesterday though it is not known whether any of the Sultanate's 10 exponents are competing.
