HIS Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah, the president of the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council (BNOC), yesterday left for Vietnam to attend the opening ceremony of the 3rd Asian Indoor Games in Hanoi.

He was accompanied by YAM Pg Bini Datin Hjh Faezah Dato Hj Nasir.

His Royal Highness Prince Jefri Bolkiah was at the Brunei International Airport to bid farewell.

The Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Pehin Orang Kaya Setia Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Ahmad Hj Jumat and other top-level officials were also present.

Competing in billiards, pencak silat and wushu, Brunei's contingent of 13 athletes left to the 10-day event on Tuesday with another batch leaving this morning.

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, is the Sultanate's only representative in billiards, with 10 athletes flying the flag for the country in pencak silat and two in wushu.

According to a BNOC official, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah will be meeting athletes from wushu and silat before the opening ceremony at the My Dinh National Stadium tomorrow.
