His Royal Highness in a group photo with the winners of the female’s under-53kg weightlifting event

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah, President of the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council (BDNOC), attended the weightlifting competition of the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games at Boulevard Arena 01A on Saturday to support national weightlifter Jurulena binti Juna in the female’s under-53 kilogrammes (kg) category.
Jurulena was placed fifth among eight participating countries in the third session of snatch and clean and jerk event, lifting 62kg in the snatch and 89kg in the clean and jerk for a combined total of 151kg.
His Royal Highness later presented medals to the winners of the female’s under-53kg event.
On Friday, His Royal Highness paid an official visit to the Athlete Village at Princess Noural University in Riyadh to meet with the Brunei contingent competing in the Games.
His Royal Highness was received by Chef de Mission of the Brunei contingent Haji Mohamad Rosfazilah bin Haji Yusly and team members.
His Royal Highness also heard a briefing delivered by the Chef de Mission and later shared words of encouragement with the athletes. – James Kon
