The Brunei National Karate Team left the country yesterday as part of the Brunei contingent to compete in the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from today until November 21.
The team comprises Muhammad Nazirul bin Haji Johar, who will compete in the men’s individual kata, and Farhah Syahirah binti Mohd Shamrin, who will participate in the women’s individual kata. Both events will begin on November 11 at the Malaz Combat Hall.
Present at the Brunei International Airport to send off the athletes were officials from the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, along with parents and guardians. – James Kon
