The first group of six members of the Brunei contingent – comprising the Chef de Mission, three weightlifting athletes, a coach, and a secretariat officer – departed on Tuesday morning to participate in the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from Friday until November 21.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Doa Selamat by Shahram bin Haji Abdul Rahman followed by speech of encouragement and a group photo session.
Brunei Darussalam is sending a 13-member contingent comprising seven athletes and six officials to the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games 2025 to compete in fencing, karate and weightlifting. Acting Director of Youth and Sports Department Haji Mohamad Rosfazilah bin Haji Yusly, as the Chef De Mission of Brunei Contingent, will lead the contingent.
