The participants of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) were hosted to a welcome dinner by His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah, OCA Honorary Executive Board Member and President of the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council (BDNOC).
The dinner held at the Royal Berkshire Hall, Tarindak d’Polo, Royal Brunei Polo and Riding Club in Kampong Jerudong yesterday, saw His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah gracing the event.
Chair of the ANOC Gender Equity Commission and Chair of the OCA Peace and Sport Standing Committee His Royal Highness Prince Feisal Al-Hussein; OCA Executive Board Member Mikako Kotani OLY; and Chair of the OCA Gender Equity Committee Valerie Tarazi OLY were also in attendance.
Brunei Darussalam is hosting the 2nd OCA Gender Equity Seminar, a two-day event that began yesterday following an opening ceremony which marked the curtain raiser.
The seminar concludes today.
The seminar carries the theme ‘Watch Her Shine’, aimed at empowering and promoting gender equity in sports across Asia. – Lyna Mohamad
