Brunei contingent leave for Asian Games

The Brunei Darussalam contingent represented by the national karate team comprising four athletes and two coaches left the country yesterday to take part in the 19th Asian Games 2022 in Hangzhou, China.

The four athletes – Muhd Harith bin Dahlan, Farhah Syahirah binti Mohd Shamrin, Rodhyatul Adhwanna binti Bakar and Farhana Najeeha binti Abdul Rahman – are accompanied by kumite Coach Haji Okida Simangasing and kata Coach Anggoro Bayu Pratama.

Brunei’s Muhd Harith will compete in the kumite event while the trio of Farhah Syahirah, Rodhyatul Adhwanna and Farhana Najeeha will contest the kata event.

Acting Permanent Secretary (Sports) at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports Dr Siti Norkhalbi binti Haji Wahsalfelah sent the delegation off and provided advice at the Brunei International Airport.
