BRUNEI Darussalam’s wushu exponent Muhammad Adi Sya’rani bin Roslan finished in joint fifth place after registering 9.50 points in the Men’s Optional Gunshu in the 29th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games at the KLCC Hall 5 yesterday.
Muhammad Adi Syarani started well applying a lot of power and speed during the earlier segment of his routine.
Unfortunately, he was unable to pick his lower body with his upper which would have been high marks in the eye of the judges.
Muhammad Adi Syarani’s speed was not as steady as he would have liked caving slightly upwards.
During the routine, he executed single handed strikes with a lot of power.
Brunei’s wushu exponent was unable to pick up his legs to parallel which cost him valuable points from the judges.
Nevertheless, Muhammad Adi Sya’rani had a lovely spin into his ground position.
