THREE referees from the Brunei Darussalam Sepak Takraw Association (PESTABARU), Mohammad Azman bin Azamain, Haji Zaman bin Haji Samat and Ramlan bin Haji Mohd Said, have been accredited as International Sepak Takraw Federation (ISTAF) referee, after undergoing a Referee Upgrading Course from Asian Sepak Takraw Federation (ASTAF).
The accreditation takes effect from June 2.
According to the President of PESTABARU Pengiran Haji Ali Hassan bin Pengiran Dato Seri Laila Jasa Haji Abas, the three individuals have undergone ISTAF referee upgrading test in October 2016 during the World Sepak Takraw Championship for Thai King Trophy 2016 in Thailand.
Their experiences include refereeing at Asian Games, SEA Games, Super Series World Cup ISTAF in India, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. They have also refereed games at Thai King Trophy, SUKMA, BIMP EAGA, Borneo Cup and Asia Beach Sepak Takraw in Indonesia, Oman, China, Thailand and Vietnam.
