ADM MMA Taekwondo Club emerged as winners of the 2nd Annual Poomsae Competition 2014 yesterday.
Organised by the Brunei Taekwondo Association, nine clubs entered the two-day competition, with Brunei Shell Recreation Club Taekwondo Club and Unite Taekwondo coming in second and third. According to a press release from the Brunei Taekwondo Association yesterday, the competition was organised to upgrade the abilities of its members to enchance their talents not just in sparring, but also more importantly in poomsae (technique).
The competition was divided into several junior and senior categories. Dynamic Taekwondo, Lambak Kiri Secondary School, Pengiran Isteri Hajah Masnah Secondary School, Rick Taekwondo, Sultan Sharif Ali Secondary School and Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien (SOAS) College Taekwondo Club made up the rest of the contestants.
ADN also won last year's inaugural tournament after collecting 23 gold, 11 silver and six bronze medals. BSRC Taekwondo Club were second with six gold, three silver and two bronze medals while Ricky Taekwondo Club finished third with five gold, three silver and two bronze medals.
