DPMM FC continued their brilliant form in the Singapore League (S-League) with a 2-0 away win over Woodlands Wellington FC last night.
The victory at the Woodlands Stadium in Singapore was DPMM FC's fifth straight win in the league and they now sit on 25 points, five clear at the top of the 12-team table.
Warriors FC are currently in second.
The country's only professional club went ahead in the 14th minute with hitman Rodrigo Tosi converting a penalty.
Tosi was brought down inside the penalty box by Woodlands defender Walid Lounis and the latter was sent off for the challenge.
The Brazilian is still the current top scorer of the league with 10 goals to his name.
Azwan Ali Rahman doubled DPMM FC's lead in the 47th minute, firing from 20 metres out to defeat Woodland's goalkeeper Yazid Yasin in goal.
Roy O'Donovan also came up with a number of chances but failed to find the back on the net.
DPMM FC head coach Steve Kean started the duo of Azwan Salleh and Mohd Hendra Azam Mohd Idris in the midfield, leaving Rosmin Hj Md Kamis on the bench again.
Rosmin would however come on for Mohd Hendra Azam in the 66th minute.
The only concern for DPMM FC last night was when Azwan Ali was hauled off the pitch in the 69th minute after going down with an injury.
"If we can continue this good form I believe that we will be able to win the league this year," said Rosmin in an interview with The Brunei Times last night.
"It feels good to be back playing with the team after the injury," he said.
Leftback Sairol Hj Sahari who came on only in the 89th minute was equally pleased to take part in the win.
"It is always good to be back in the team, but this is not enough for me. I need to train harder and fight again for my place," said Sairol.
"I am ready and hungry to play and there is still long way to go. We must keep the momentum going," he added.
The other game last night saw Balestier Khalsa FC beat Harimau Muda FC 2-0.
