DPMM FC are looking to get back to the top of tier two of the Singapore League (S-League).
Brunei's only professional team will be gunning for all three points against Harimau Muda today at Pasir Gudang Stadium in Johor, Malaysia.
DPMM FC are currently in seventh place with 33 points and will be hoping that the bottom-half table leaders Warriors FC have a slip up in the two remaining matches.
They are just a point apart from the Warriors, who will face the Young Lions (Singapore Under-23 national team) later on the same day at the Jalan Besar Stadium in Singapore.
DPMM FC and the Malaysian side have split their meetings so far this season after holding fort at home ground.
The last time DPMM FC travelled to Malaysia saw them fall 2-1 back in May.
However, their last meeting saw them come back from a goal down to win 3-1 at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas on Oct 16.
DPMM FC head coach Vjeran Simunic is hoping that his charges will be able to put up the same kind of performance in search of all three points despite being short handed for the trip.
"I hope we can produce the same kind of performance against them from our last meeting. But we know that it won't be easy especially that the game will be played in the afternoon," said Simunic in an interview with The Brunei Times on Tuesday.
"We will be missing some important players (striker Shahrazen Said and midfielder Hj Mohd Subhi Abdulah Hj Bakir) for the matchup. Then again this has been the case throughout the season where we have no full lineup," he added.
"We will do the best with who we have available. Hopefully Adi (Said) can step up for the game but I've yet to decide on who will replace Subhi," continued the Croatian.
Simunic will once again be banking on the in form Brazilian midfielder Rodrigo Tosi, who has found the back of the net four times in the last four games which included two against Harimau Muda last month.
Harimau Muda have been off form as of late having taken only a point out of their last four matches before seeing their last game against the Young Lions abandoned with six minutes left in regulation.
The match kicks off at 4.45pm.
Meanwhile, Home United are looking good to finish second in the S-League after picking up their fourth straight with a 1-0 victory over Tanjong Pagar United last night at Queenstown Stadium.
In the other game, Balestier Khalsa cruised to a 3-0 win over Woodlands Wellington at Toa Payoh Stadium.
