BRUNEI have sent five of their fastest sprinters to compete at the 93rd Malaysia Open Athletics Championship 2016.
2016 Rio Olympian and national 100m record holder Md Fakhri Ismail, Md Faaizul Abdullah, Md Asy Syaf’ie Md Bohari and Abd Rahim Abdullah will run in the 100m while Md Nur Firdaus Ar-Rasyid Hj Idris will contest the 200m event at the Sept 30 – Oct 2 competition to be held at the Sports Science Stadium of Universiti Malaya in Kuala Lumpur.
They will also team up for the 4x100m event.
They departed the sultanate yesterday and are accompanied by athletics coach Azmize Abd Rahman.
