Brunei Darussalam secured its first gold medal at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games in Thailand after wushu star Mohammad Adi Salihin bin Roslan triumphed in the men’s combined three disciplines event.
Mohammad Adi topped the combined men’s nandao, nangun and nanquan event with a total score of 29.329. Singapore’s Randall Lim Yi Jie finished second with 29.242 points, while Malaysia’s representative claimed bronze with a score of 29.225.
Mohammad Adi has won at least three SEA Games gold medals for Brunei, achieving a historic hat-trick in Wushu at the 2019, 2021 (held in 2022), and 2023 Games, marking him as Brunei’s first three-time SEA Games gold medalist in the sport.
