A CONTINGENT of seven comprising three athletes and four officials left the country early yesterday for the 3rd Summer Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina from October 6-18.
Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof was present to bid farewell in his capacity as the Acting Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.
Also present were Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports Haji Amer Hamzah bin Pehin Orang Kaya Amar Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Haji Zakaria, Acting Director of Youth and Sports Haji Zafri bin Haji Mohamed, and senior officers from the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
Competing in swimming and athletics, the Brunei Darussalam contingent is led by Faisal bin Yunus as the Chef de Mission.
