BRUNEI Darussalam athletes who will be competing in the golf event in the 18th Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang departed yesterday.
Present at the Brunei International Airport was Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports Haji Amer Hamzah bin Pehin Orang Kaya Amar Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Haji Zakaria, together with other officers from the ministry.
The Brunei Darussalam contingent of 15 athletes and 16 officers will take part in seven events – athletics, wushu, weightlifting, equestrian (jumping), golf, karate and pencak silat.
