BRUNEI Darussalam’s national pencak silat exponent Norleyermah Haji Raya continued her fine form in international tournaments after winning silver in the Women’s Artistic event in the Road to Asian Games 2018 in Padepokan, Jakarta yesterday.
The national athlete was narrowly edged to a gold medal by Cherry May Regaldo of the Philippines by a single point after recording 460 points. Tounee Vilaysack of Laos took third with 443 points.
Norleyermah also collected a silver medal in the Women’s Artistic event in the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Kuala Lumpur last year.
Meanwhile, Zainorarif Zaini was awarded bronze in the Class ‘D’ Tanding event which was the country’s first medal in the category.
