Brunei's No 1 tennis player Mohd Aiman Abdullah and Brunei Darussalam Tennis Association (BDTA) No 1 seed Nurul Mohd Andi qualified for the semi-final round of the BDTA singles open.
The Brunei Darussalam Tennis Association (BDTA) singles open came to a close last night where four matches took place at the National Tennis Centre of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas.
Brunei's No 1 tennis player, Mohd Aiman met last year's finalist, Juliano beating him 6-1, 6-1. Mohd Andi, BDTA No 1 seed clashed with Jermaine and the match ended 6-0, 6-4 in favour of Mohd Andi. Pg Aki Ismasufian, Brunei's former No 1 and Mohd Aiman's double partner, comfortably defeated Mohd Yusree with a score of 6-0, 6-0.
The final match of the night saw Bakurutheen Ali defeating Abdul Rasheed 6-3, 6-2. The first semi-final will see Mohd Andi match up with Mohd Aiman, while Pg Aki will have to ovecome Bakurutheen Ali in the other semi-final.. The tournament will continue today at 7pm at the National Tennis Centre of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas.
