The Miri Rhinos edged the Bandar Blacks 33-26 in the Brunei Rugby Football Union (BRFU) Darussalam Cup semi-final play off last Saturday.

"Miri have always been slow starters, especially after some breaks," Matnor said.
"Our defending was poor in the first 15 minutes but we finally got into the game after that, and with team determination, we finally won the game," he said.
Bandar Blacks player/coach Iqbal Dato Paduka Hj Selamat shared that his team were leading in the first half with their game plan, but in the second half Miri clearly showed their experience in the back line said Iqbal.
"Fitness was a factor and experience but we never gave up. With every game we played, it was evident we grew and still are growing," he said.
"Miri played hard as well and came out on top, and I wish them luck for the remainder of the tournament."
