The Knights Rugby Football Club will be going all out in their final game of the Brunei Rugby Football Union (BRFU) Premiership today as a win over the Belait Pythons will hand them the Dr Hj Kamaruddin Cup.
The Knights currently lead the table with 15 points while the Universiti Brunei Darussalam Sharks trail in second with 10 points.
The Pythons currently sit at third on the table with nine points but they still have two games in hand.
A win for the Knights today will however see them seal their spot as champions for this season.
Both undefeated teams are scheduled to clash at the Sungai Kebun Sports Complex at 4pm.
The Knights last won the trophy in 2010 - along with the Darussalam Cup - and they have been in impressive form throughout this year's campaign.
They took out defending champions Miri Rhinos 46-29 in their opening game before edging Darussalam Cup defending champions UBD Sharks 30-22 before thrashing the Bandar Blacks 51-10.
Knights forward Syaihan Hj Abu Bakar told The Brunei Times," We will try our best for tomorrow's game."
"Every game has been a tough task for us and the Pythons have our highest respect as they are a very good and strong side. They have also remained undefeated," said Syaihan.
The Pythons, who are back after missing out the previous edition of the competition, have also dominated the competition.
The three-time Dr Hj Kamaruddin Cup and four-time Darussalam Cup champions' first match saw them crush the Rhinos 26-5, followed by a nail biting 25-15 win over the UBD Sharks.
They were scheduled to take on the Bandar Blacks for their third game of the league but the game has been postponed to a later date due to lighting issues.
Pythons coach John Beart is well aware of the threat that the Knights pose.
"They are not in pole position by fluke and can be dangerous with the ball in hand," said Beart.
"However, we don't believe we are the underdogs by any stretch and I feel, if we play to our patterns, then we can beat them.
"We have a strong squad and the rest has benefited us with having time to clear injuries and also key players coming back into the squad after the break.
"They will potentially be the toughest test we have had and we're playing in their back yard so it's all to play for.
"We will play our best and the best team on the day will win, whether that be us or the Knights," added Beart.
The Bandar Blacks picked up their first win of the season after the Miri Rhinos forfeited their match yesterday.
