Brunei suffer heavy loss to Hong Kong

BRUNEI Darussalam national men hockey team endured an 11-0 defeat in the hands of Hong Kong in the Men’s Asian Hockey Challenge 2017 at the Theinphyu Stadium in Yangon, Myanmar yesterday.

Tsang Kin Kan opened the floodgates in the 16th minute before Yu Chi Wai doubled his side lead three minutes later.

Khan Siddick Iqbal made it 3-0 in the 23rd minute before Tsoi Gabriel Long Ting got in the act in the 26th minute.

The national hockey team trailed 4-0 in the first half but Hong Kong upped their tempo in the second half.

Iu Felix Chi Him found the net in the 36th minute before Kam Shung-Yin converted three minutes later.

Gabriel got his second of the game in the 45th minute and so did Chi Wai a minute later.

Brunei conceded three more goals in the final four minutes as Monthong Windfall collected a brace and Chan Ka Chun netting one before the final whistle.
