BDNOC statement on London Olympics

With reference to the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council (BDNOC)s Press Statement published both in The Brunei Times and Borneo Bulletin on 24th June 2012, BDNOC wishes to inform the public that the participation of our swimming athlete, Awang Anderson Lim Chee Wei in the Swimming Event under the Universality Place, is now confirmed by FINA.

Therefore, Brunei Darussalam will be represented by 3 athletes, Ak Hafiy Tajuddin Pg Rositi and Dayang Maziah Mahusin, both will be competing in 400m in Athletics Event, while Awang Anderson Lim Chee Wei, will be competing in 200m Free Style Swimming Event.

The participation of these athletes in their respective event have been finalised by London Organizing Committee of Olympic Games (LOCOG).

BDNOC wishes to thank the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, especially the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports for their continued support to BDNOC, in making Brunei Darussalam's participation in London Summer Olympic Games 2012 a reality.BDNOC
