Bring glory to nation: Prince

Prior to the opening ceremony of the 3rd Asian Indoor Games in Hanoi on Friday, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah, the President of Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council met with the Brunei contingent at the Hanoi Daewoo Hotel.

During the gathering, HRH Prince Sufri took the opportunity to chat and deliver some advice of encouragement to the athletes of pencak silat and wushu.

His Royal Highness stressed to the athletes that they need to be focused and try their very best to bring glory to the nation.

Brunei Darussalam participated in the parade of the opening ceremony for the 3rd Asian Indoor Games together with 43 other Asian countries.

A wushu exponent, Faustina Woo Wai Shii was given the honour to carry the Brunei national flag and led the Brunei contingent in the parade. Brunei Darussalam are represented by 13 athletes, two managers, three coaches, two assistant coaches and four officials and will be taking part in cue sports, pencak silat and wushu.

Most events will take part in Vietnam's capital Hanoi and surrounding provinces. Others are scheduled for the southern commercial center of Ho Chi Minh City.
